Using the Loan Calculator

Here is a step by step, process on how to use the Auto Loan Calcualtor.

1. Enter the amount of money you wish to borrow in the "Loan Amount" field.


2. Enter the interest rate you will be paying on the loan.


3. Enter the term, or length of the loan. The normal range on auto loans is from 3 to 6 years.

Understanding the Results

Here is a breakdown of what each of the these terms mean and how they effect you.

• Monthly Payment:This is the biggy. This amount is how much you will be paying each month on your loan.


• Total Interest:This amount represents how much you will be paying in total to borrow the money in the loan.


• Year:This one is pretty obvious. This is the corrosponding month of the loan.


• Principle:This is how much you owe on the loan, after that month's payment.


• Interest:This is amount is how much of your payment went towards interest for that month.


• Payment:This is the same as your monthly payment.
